Sunrise view from Chisapani, 27km from Kathmandu

We took a 5hrs hike that ended up being more like 8hrs, to Chisapani in the Shivapuri natural reserve. Views are supposed to be amazing...on a clear day. Unfortunately we only had a small glimpse at 6 am on our second day as it was mostly cloudy. The view made me feel a bit nostalgic, is really nice to travel and see new places, but sometimes it feels a bit sad to be far from friends and family to share nice and difficult times.

If you look closely at the pic, you can see the Himalayas sitting (or more like rising) grand and quietly in the last row

That night I was a bit sick in my stomach, so the way back was really tough, Olivia almost had to carry me. The way back was mostly steep downhill, which can be very demanding, surprisingly this time the hike took 5hrs. But this hike was perhaps the hardest I have ever done.
